Kempu Chutney (Red Chilli Chutney)

Ingredients

  • To Grind
    • Dry Red Chillies - As needed
    • Fenugreek seeds - 2 spoons
    • Onions - As needed
    • Curry leaves -few
    • Jaggery - as per taste
    • Tamarind - as per taste
    • Salt - as per taste

  • Tempering
    • Oil

    Preparation

    1. To Prepare Chutney, roast the ingredients separately. Dry Red chilies, fenugreek seeds, curry leaves, Long sliced onions.
    2. Add the ingredients to a jar and add jaggery, tamarind, salt as per taste and grind to a smooth paste by adding water if necessary.
    3. In a wok / Kadai, heat oil and add the above paste and mix well. Let the chutney be coated with oil and come to a boil.
    4. Cool the chutney and store it in an airtight box. Refrigerate after a few hours. It can be refrigerated for a month.
