Red Hyderabadi Chicken Curry

Ingredients
  • Chicken 1 kg
  • Cardamom, cloves
  • Onions - long sliced
  • Coriander leaves chopped 
  • Pudina leaves chopped
  • Ginger Garlic paste
  • Coriander powder
  • Garam Masala
  • Pepper powder
  • Red Chilly powder
  • Lemon
  • Badam -5
  • Cashew - 5
  • Curd
  • Turmeric, Salt
  • Oil

Preparation

  1. Dry roast badam and cashew till light brown. Grind into a paste adding little water.
  2. Wash the Chicken, add to a bowl. Marinate with ginger garlic paste, turmeric, salt , red chilli powder, garam masala, curd, Badam and cashew paste. Add half a lemon and mix well.
  3. In a Kadai, add oil, fry long sliced onions till dark brown. Add to the marinated mixture and keep aside for an hour.
  4. In the same kadai add cloves and cardamom, Add the marinated mixture and cook.
  5. Add chopped coriander leaves, pudina leaves , pepper powder and cook for sometime.
  6. Once the oil seperates, garnish with coriander and serve.
