Chicken Donne Biriyani- The easy way

Ingredients
  • Chicken ½ kg
  • Rice - washed and soaked
  • Coriander leaves, Pudina Leaves 
  • Onions  - long sliced
  • Green chilies - long sliced
  • Ginger Garlic paste
  • Coriander powder, Biriyani powder
  • Curd, Lemon
  • Turmeric, Salt
  • Oil, Ghee

Preparation

  1. Wash the chicken and marinate with salt turmeric and curd. Keep aside for 30 minutes.
  2. Dry roast the green chilies, onions, pudina, and coriander leaves. Grind the above ingredients to a paste.
  3. In a pressure cooker, add oil in the proportion of 1:4  with rice. Fry bay leaves, cardamom, gren chilies, onions, ginger-garlic paste. Pour the above paste and fry for some time.
  4. Add the marinated chicken pieces, salt, coriander powder, biriyani powder and mix well. Stir and fry till oil separates.
  5. Add the soaked rice and stir fry.  Add water in 2:1 ration and mix well. Add salt as per the taste and cover with a lid. Pressure cook for 3 -4 whistles.
  6. Once cooked, Squeeze 1 lemon mix well and serve.
