Ingredients
  • Mutton 1 kg
  • Cinnamon, cloves
  • Onions - long sliced
  • Tomatoes - Chopped
  • Green chilies - long sliced
  • Coriander leaves chopped 
  • Ginger Garlic paste
  • Coriander powder
  • Garam Masala
  • Mutton masala powder
  • Red Chilly powder
  • Grated coconut
  • Turmeric, Salt
  • Oil

Preparation

  1. Wash the Mutton, add to a pressure cooker. Add salt, turmeric, and water and pressure cook for 10-20 whistles based on the tenderness of mutton.
  2. In a Kadai, add oil, green chilies, onions, tomatoes, and fry. Add salt, ginger garlic paste, turmeric, and fry well.
  3. Add the cooked mutton pieces. Keep the mutton stock(water from the pressure cooker) aside for later use.
  4. Add coriander powder, garam masala, Mutton masala powder, Red Chilly powder and mix well.
  5. Add all of the mutton stock and keep cooking till the stock evaporates and thickens up. You can add extra water according to consistency.
  6. In a mixer, grind a half hand full of grated coconut and add it to the curry. Let it keep cooking till the required consistency is achieved.
  7. Once cooked, garnish with coriander and close the lid. Serve after 10 minutes.
